A U.S. 501(c)(3) and a registered Canadian charity, the Steve Nash Foundation is dedicated to assisting underserved children in their health, personal development, education and quality of life, and like its MVP founder, has become a leader in assists.

Each year, the Foundation's BC Grants program funds youth-focused organizations that address underlying conditions of poverty, medical need and restricted access to those resources that contribute to the well-being of children. The Foundation looks for organizations that work to provide direct services to children, or those that work to benefit children through social change and policy reform.

The Foundation's own initiatives include Support Hope, now operating to improve health opportunities in Paraguay and Uganda; Educare Arizona, bringing best practices in early childhood development and education to families across the United States as part of the Buffett Early Childhood Fund's vision; and the upcoming Centre for Youth Assists in Toronto, an after-school centre for youth to receive wrap-around services to improve outcomes away from violence.
